Individuals registering with PIRB have to register for the designation they are qualified for. Each designation has certain criteria which needs to be met in order to be registered as such. All designations are identified on the individual plumber’s PIRB ID card which should be kept on the plumber at all times.

Designation Requirements:

The following designation requirements must be observed to hold and/or maintain a Master Plumber Designation:

  • 10 Years proven practicing (post qualification) experience in the plumbing industry
  • Obtained at least 6 of the Licensed Plumbing Practitioner designation levels
  • Attend an accredited Business and Leadership Management course or similar
  • Obtain CPD Credits allocated to the cycle the plumber is in annually
  • Pass the PIRB’s written Master Plumber assessment which includes – Technical, Business and Leadership
    Management
  • Pass the PIRB’s practical and/or written assessment in the specialised designations (Arbitrator, Estimator and Training Assessor)
  • Re-Register every 12 months

    Proof of practicing experience from to be completed and accompany this application

Specialisations

Arbitrator

The following designation requirements must be observed to hold and/or maintain a Plumbing Arbitrator designation:

  • Must hold a Master Plumber Designation
  • Must have completed and passed the relevant PIRB accredited auditor course
  • Pass PIRB’s written board assessment for a Plumbing Arbitrator

Estimator

The following designation requirements must be observed to hold and/or maintain a Plumbing Estimator designation:

  • Must hold a Master Plumber Designation
  • Must have completed and passed the relevant PIRB accredited auditor course
  • Pass PIRB’s written board assessment for a Plumbing Estimator

Training Assessor

The following designation requirements must be observed to hold and/or maintain a Plumbing Training Assessor designation;

  • Must hold a Master Plumber Designation
  • Must have completed and passed a relevant accredited training assessors course
  • Pass PIRB’s written board assessment for a Plumber Training Assessor
