New System FAQ

The PIRB’s new system: FAQ’s

About our new system:

How can I access the old system?
http://www.inspect-it.co.za/

How do I access the new system?
Plumbers login: http://audit-it.co.za/login/plumber

Registration and Renewals:

How do I register with the PIRB?
Qualified plumbers who want to register with the PIRB, can easily log onto http://audit-it.co.za/login/plumber and create a username and password. Plumbers will be asked to upload the necessary documents online. Upon submitting the necessary documents, applications will be verified, after which plumbers will be notified if their application was successful or not. Alternatively, plumbers can email registration@pirb.co.za for assistance.

What is my username on the PIRB’s new system?
The new system will require plumbers to log in with their email addresses and NOT their registration numbers. That is why every registered plumber should make sure that their details with the PIRB are correct. If you need to update this, please email renew@pirb.co.za for more details. Alternatively, please find the renewal/update form on the PIRB’s website.

Can I change my personal details on the PIRB’s new system?
Yes, you can change SOME personal details by logging into your profile and clicking on your ‘plumber’s profile’.  If you are struggling to change your details, please email renew@pirb.co.za for assistance.

What is my password on the PIRB’s new system?
The password you chose upon registration is your dedicated password.

How can I reset my password?

Can two or more plumbers use the same email address?
No. It is crucial that every registered plumber use their OWN email address. Two or more plumbers will not be able to use the same email address.

What should I do if I do not have my very own email address?
In this case, plumbers must create their own email addresses on Gmail or Yahoo. This is ultimately free.

Can I change password on the PIRB’s new system even if I have registered with another one?
Yes, when logging in to your profile, please click on ‘forgot password’. Instructions will be emailed to your registered email to change your password.

How do I create a new PIRB account?

Renewal:

How do I pay for my new renewal?
Plumbers can pay electronically via EFT. Please use your PIRB registration number as a reference.

Where do I access my electronic card?
You can see your electronic card on your ‘plumber’s profile’. If a plumber needs to show it to a client, the PIRB suggest presenting the client with a simple picture/screenshot taken of his/her card.

Why do I get so many reminders for renewal?
Reminders are in place in order for plumbers to remember their renewal date as it is imperative for them to issue CoC’s. If a licensed plumber is not active on the system, they will not be able to issue CoC’s.

How can I get a statement?
Please log in to your profile and click on the button ‘MY ACCOUNTS’. Here you can see what you’ve purchased.

OTP’s

What is an OTP?
A one-time password (OTP), also known as a one-time pin or dynamic password, is a password that is valid for only one login session or transaction, on a computer system or other digital device.

Why are there OTP’s in this case?
OTP’s have been included for additional safety measures on the PIRB’s new system.

When will I be required to enter an OTP?
Before a plumber can purchase a COC, they will be required to enter a One Time Pin. It is, therefore, imperative that each registered plumber’s cell phone number is updated on the PIRB’s system.

Where can I update my cell phone number?
Update your cell phone number on your PIRB ‘plumber’s profile’ when logging into your account. Otherwise, please find the renewal/update form on the PIRB’s website and email it to renew@pirb.co.za for more details.

My CPD points do not reflect my actual CPD points accumulated?

When you access the system, you will not see your standing CPD points, ONLY the ones you accumulated since the PIRB’s new system launch (3 August 2020).
Therefore, the CPD points you see on your plumber’s profile will not reflect the actual CPD points you accumulated in your current cycle.
