The PIRB Certificate of Compliance (COC) system is an important legality when it comes to plumbing work in South Africa.
When a registered plumber with the Plumbing Industry Registration Board (PIRB) does not stay up to date and accumulate the necessary Continuous Professional Development (CPD) credits that he or she needs for the year, the chances of losing work is a huge probability. Without obtaining your CPD credits, a plumber will be demoted to a qualified plumber on the PIRB system and ultimately won’t be able to issue COC’s.
